Summary of the blog
Firstly, I have uploaded a picture titled "Mountain" which was captured during my hike towards Genyen Latsho in the year 2020. Mountains are the world's 'water tower' providing fresh water resources for our planet. Through this children can learn forms of landscape, vegetation, and appreciate it as one source that provide us with basic necessities. The second image is based on "National Dress of Bhutan" which basically stresses on explaining the dress worn by Bhutanese people. Gho and Kira are the traditional dress of the people of Bhutan. Gho refers to the traditional dress of men of Bhutan. It is a knee-length cloth tied at the waist with a cloth belt known as the Kera. Kira is the national dress of women in Bhutan. It is an ankle-length dress worn with a piece of rectangular cloth, wrapped and folded around the body and pinned at both shoulders. It is worn with a long-sleeved blouse called wonju, and a short jacket called toego. In addition, "Blue Poppy" which is acknowledged to be significant as it is considered as the national flower of Bhutan. It is found in the alpine region across the country which usually inhibits in the rocky terrain above tree line (alpine region: region that occurs above the tree-line and below the snow-line on temperate and tropical mountains). "Green Tara" a fully enlightened female buddha, Tara is the actuality of compassion and wisdom and meditating on her helps us awaken our own buddha nature. In order for Tara to be able to benefit us, we need to approach her with an open heart and mind. Through continued meditation practice on Tara, we can establish a relationship in which we are able to trust and rely on her, and the more we are able to open to Tara, the more she is able to benefit us. Lastly, I have "Punakha Dzong" which is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures. The dzong houses the sacred relics of the southern Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, including the Rangjung Kasarpani and the sacred remains of Ngawang Namgyal and the tertoen Pema Lingpa.
I have reviewed an article "ICT in education: A Critical Literature Review and Its Implications" a research paper by Jo Shan Fu National Institute of Education, Singapore. This paper basically says that school is an important environment in which students engage in a broad range of computer activities, while home serves as a complementary site for regular engagement in a narrower set of computer activities. It also highlights benefits of integrating ICT a classroom. Additionally, I have uploaded the "Reflection on Educational Tools" considering the ICT educational tools that we have learned in this module backing up with some benefits of using this tools especially in terms of teaching and learning. Finally, the "Critical Analysis on Learning Experiences" that elucidate my learning experience using PhET simulation citing an example of circuit connection.
The excursion video "Trip to Dumtseg Lhakhang" focuses my journey towards one of the many wonderful Buddhist monasteries in Paro, Bhutan, located with a great view of Paro. The video explains the significance of this particular temple and the person behind the construction of the temple.
